Picnic

 

The Fifth Annual Friday Night Social and Saturday Picnic for the GPHS class of '63 was held on September 13 & 14, 2019.

. Friday night was hosted by classmate Robert Moore and his wife Karen at his business, Oregon Books & Games.

Our picnic was Saturday at the Harry & David Shelter, Reinhart Volunteer Park, in Grants Pass.

The tables were decorated with fall wild grasses and herbs, compliments of Sandy Harmon Johnson.

Doug Van Gordon shared two lovely bouquets of sunflowers from his garden.

Doug served soft vanilla ice cream wth wafer cookies.

A special treat was Blind George's popcorn, compliments of Nita Olson Swope and Hans Wiik.

. OUR TIME TOGETHER IS JUST NEVER QUITE ENOUGH.

We had a wonderful time. Each year our reunion is better than the year before, perhaps because we have a deeper relationship with one another. We look forward to seeing you at our Sixth Annual Gathering on September 11 & 12, 2020.

 

A booklet, Childhood Memories and Reflections, GPHS Class of 1963, was compiled by Sandy Harmon Johnson from childhood stories she gathered from classmates. The booklet is a telling of our stories as we remember them, and is dedicated to our classmates who have gone before us.
