Picnic

For those of you who didn't attend our Class of '63 First Annual Picnic, we missed you!!

We had a great time, and Back to the 50's Celebration was the perfect weekend to have our picnic. It was hot, many people were in town, and there was lots to do! We had front row seats in front of the Grants Pass Pharmacy during Cruise Night, eating an ice cream cone, and watching Bobbie Eldred Johnson and her mother cruise by in her classic car.

Twenty-four people attended the picnic, and we voted to have it again next year - same time, same place. Enough donations were received to reimburse Jackie and I for our 2014 picnic expenses and also cover the 2015 picnic! Thank you to everyone who gave so we may continue having our class picnics.

A surprise of a special recognition of a royal blue tee shirt with white lettering was presented to Steve Moser who walked all the streets and roads in Sacramento County, between 6,000 & 7,000 miles, in 4 1/2 years. Amazing accomplishment!

Classmates and spouses who came to the picnic: Duke and Nancy Garoutte, Candy Morasch, Mike Zerwer, Ron Peil (your homemade blackberry cobbler was delicious), Doug and Patty Van Gordon, Tom and Linda McCulloch, Connie Cummins Fowler, Connie Brooks Nickelson, Jean Dees Miller, Eva Ziegler Sabin, Bobbie Eldred Johnson and Ron, Art Amberg, Sandra Lent Rigsby, Ruth Temple and grandson Gab, Steve Moser, Beth Fisher, Jackie Hawkins, and Sandy Harmon Johnson and Duane.

Tom McCulloch and Steve Moser traveled the furthest - over 300 miles.

We're looking forward to our next picnic, and we'd love to see you.
